The natural stone runs through honey-amber, rust-red, and dark mineral vein bands; when the bulb is lit, those bands glow softly through the translucent onyx wall and the reeded surface refracts the light into a series of fine vertical highlights. At bedside, on a console, or beside a reading chair, the lamp reads as a small architectural fragment — a section of Doric column, scaled down to the tabletop.
