At ⌀8.7″ (22 cm), it is about the size of a mixing bowl. On its own it will look small over a dining table, and because the shade is solid, it lights a pool beneath it rather than the whole room.
It is at its best beside a bed, over a reading chair or tea table, or in a row of two to four spaced 24 to 30″ apart over an island or a long table.
Hanging Height

Installation and Care
Installation
Hardwired ceiling installation is required. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended. Ceramic can chip if knocked — unpack it carefully and support the shade while fitting.
Care
Switch off and let the bulb cool. Dust the textured outside with a soft dry brush, which reaches into the texture better than a cloth. The glazed interior can be wiped with a barely damp cloth. Wipe the wood with a dry cloth only.
Small variations in texture and glaze are part of handmade ceramic, not defects.
