Yellow Travertine
A Natural Stone, Not a Manufactured Finish
Yellow travertine is formed in the natural environment through complex physical and chemical changes, coupled with the evolution of geological movements. It is a masterpiece of history that belongs to nature and is not subject to human control.
In practical terms: the pores, the veining and the depth of the yellow are different in every shade we cut. Your pendants will look like the photographs without being copies of them, and if you buy three, the three will not match each other exactly either. That variation is the point of natural stone.
Warm light brings the yellow out. It is at its best lit from within, which is when the thinner areas of the carving glow amber.
Features
Carved Travertine
Real stone with natural pores — every shade unique, glowing warm where it thins.
Arched Timber Handle
A lantern arch over the top, so the fixture reads as an object rather than a fitting.
Three Models
Three shapes designed to hang together as a trio, or singly in a small space.
Choosing a Model
| Model |
Size |

| Model A |
⌀5.5″ × H9.8″ |
The narrowest and most upright — the slimmest of the three |
| Model B |
⌀6.3″ × H11.8″ |
The tallest, and the one that carries a group |
| Model C |
⌀7.9″ × H10.2″ |
The widest and squattest — the most generous glow |
A, B and C Are Different Shapes, and Each Is Sold Singly
These are three different proportions, not three sizes of one pendant, and each option here is a single pendant. To hang the trio shown in the photographs you will need to order three.
Contact us if you would like us to confirm which models make up the set in the images, or to order them together so they ship from the same batch of stone.
Placement
All three are small — under 8″ across — so a single one will look lost over a dining table or an island. They are designed to be used in threes, spaced 24 to 30″ apart, or singly over a bedside, an entry console, or a narrow counter.
Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above a surface, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway. Add each fixture’s own height — 9.8 to 11.8″ — to your cable drop.
Hanging a mixed trio? Stagger the heights slightly so the difference in shape reads as deliberate rather than accidental, and set them with the table in place, stepping back between adjustments while the ladder is still up.
Hang them where people pass close by. Carved stone and timber are details that reward being seen at arm’s length.
Before You Order
LED Bulbs Only — Stone and Timber Around the Bulb
The bulb sits inside a carved stone shade with a timber handle above it, and a narrow stone opening gives heat almost nowhere to escape. A hot incandescent or halogen bulb is hard on both materials and on the fitting.
Fit a cool-running LED only. If you want the Edison filament look, use an LED filament bulb — the same appearance without the heat.
Use a frosted or opal bulb. These shades are open, so a bare filament is visible and glaring from a seated position.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
IP20, not waterproof, for indoor use only. Travertine is a porous natural stone that absorbs moisture and stains, and the timber handle warps with humidity.
Not for bathrooms, not directly above a sink or hob, and not for covered porches or anywhere outdoors.
Solid Stone Is Heavier Than It Looks
Even at this size, a carved travertine shade has real weight, and three of them means three fixings. Fix into joists or rated ceiling boxes rather than plasterboard alone, and contact us to confirm the weight before your electrician prepares the ceiling.
Bulbs and Light
Warm White, and Buy Them All at Once
The base is E26 (US and Canada) or E27 (Europe, UK, Australia), a standard screw fitting, with bulbs sold separately.
Use 2700–3000K warm white, which is what makes yellow travertine glow amber. Cool white turns warm stone grey and kills the colour you paid for.
Buy all the bulbs at once and identical, and keep a spare from the same batch. Across a trio, a mismatch in colour temperature is obvious and cannot be corrected later.
These are small stone shades, so expect atmospheric light rather than task light. Over a working island, add under-cabinet or recessed lighting.

Care
Never Let a Cleaning Product Touch the Stone
Dust the travertine with a dry soft cloth, and a soft brush for the carved detail and the open pores, where a cloth simply passes over the top.
Acidic cleaners — vinegar, lemon juice, and most multi-surface and bathroom sprays — etch travertine permanently, and the mark cannot be polished out. Over a kitchen counter, remember that airborne cooking grease soaks into porous stone: never reach for a degreaser, just dust it regularly.
The timber handle takes a dry cloth along the grain, with no polish and nothing damp.
Handle each pendant by the wooden arch rather than the stone. Travertine is hard but brittle and chips at the rim if it knocks anything.
