Chad In love with it. So beautiful. I hung it above my bathtub and get so many compliments on it. It comes ready to hang—really easy.

The Aurielle Silk Pavilion Pendant Lamp by YYJLX Lighting brings a soft architectural presence to any space.
Crafted from hand-layered mulberry silk, its flowing, pavilion-inspired silhouette spreads outward in gentle curves, capturing the quiet beauty of natural fibers illuminated from within.
Silk behaves differently from any other shade material. The fibre is fine enough to pass light rather than block it, so the whole shade becomes luminous instead of glowing only at the opening, and hand-layering means the light varies subtly across the surface where the layers overlap.
It is also why the shade stays beautiful unlit. Silk holds a soft sheen in daylight that cotton and linen do not, so the pavilion reads as a pale sculptural form all day, not just after dark.

Made to Order — Allow 30 to 35 Days
This item is crafted from genuine silk and handmade by skilled artisans. As each piece is made to order, the production time is approximately 30–35 days, plus shipping.
Please plan around that date. If it is for a renovation, a move, or a particular occasion, order well ahead, and tell us your deadline when you order so we can tell you honestly whether it can be met.
Because each piece is made for you, small variations in layering, tone and surface are part of the work rather than faults — no two are identical.
Features
Hand-Layered Mulberry Silk
A fine natural fibre that becomes luminous across its whole surface when lit.
Pavilion Silhouette
Curves spreading outward, so the form reads as architecture rather than a drum.
Three Profiles
The same broad footprint in three depths — shallow, medium, or tall.
Before You Order
LED Bulbs Only — Silk Is the Most Heat-Sensitive Shade We Sell
Silk is a fine natural protein fibre. A hot incandescent or halogen bulb will yellow, scorch and eventually embrittle it from the inside, and that damage is permanent on a handmade shade.
Fit a cool-running LED only, and keep the wattage modest. If you want the Edison filament look, use an LED filament bulb.
Use a frosted or opal bulb rather than a clear one. Silk passes light readily, so a bare filament shows through as a hard bright point and spoils the even glow.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
IP20, for dry indoor locations. Silk water-marks from a single drop, absorbs moisture, and grows mould in damp air.
Not for bathrooms, not directly above a sink or hob, and not for covered porches or anywhere outdoors. Steam and cooking grease are particularly hard on silk.
Choosing a Profile
| Size | Profile | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| ⌀19.7″ × H9.8″ | Shallow and wide | The broadest spread of light, and the easiest under a standard 8 ft ceiling |
| ⌀18.9″ × H13.4″ | Medium depth | The balanced choice over a dining table or a round table |
| ⌀18.9″ × H18.1″ | Tall and sculptural | A statement in a stairwell, an entry, or a room with height to spare |
These Are Three Shapes, Not Three Sizes
All three are roughly the same width. What changes is the depth, from 9.8″ to 18.1″, so choose by the proportion you want rather than by how much light you need — they cover much the same area.
The tall version is 18.1″ before any cable, so on a standard 8 ft ceiling it eats most of the available drop. The shallow version is the safe pick for a low ceiling.
Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above a surface, centre it on the table rather than the room, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway.
At around 19″ across this works alone — it is not a fixture to group.
What the Light Is Like
Enveloping Rather Than Bright
Silk diffuses light beautifully but softly. Expect a warm, even, enveloping glow rather than a hard working pool — ideal over a dining table, in a lounge, or in a bedroom, and worth pairing with under-cabinet or recessed lighting in a working kitchen.
Use 2700–3000K warm white, which is what makes silk look like silk. Cool white drains the warmth out of a white shade and makes it look like paper.

Care
Silk Needs the Gentlest Care of Any Shade
Dust with a soft brush, a feather duster, or a low-suction vacuum with a brush head held slightly away from the surface. Never use a cloth with pressure, which can flatten or snag the layered fibres.
Never use water, damp cloths, steam, or any cleaning product. A single drop of water leaves a permanent ring on silk, and there is no way to clean it back.
Dust settles on the upper curves where nobody looks, and on white silk it greys the colour from above. Include those surfaces a few times a year.
Keep the fixture out of long direct sunlight, which yellows and weakens silk over time, and let the bulb cool before going near the shade.
