Overview
The Astilo is a cluster LED pendant of slim aluminum tubes that hang at staggered heights for a light, sculptural, mid-century-modern look.
Each tube is a baked-finish cylinder, matte black or matte white, with a downward warm-white LED.
The wires drop up to 3000 mm and adjust to set each tube’s height.
That adjustability is the part worth planning for. Because every tube is set individually, you compose the cluster in the room rather than accepting a fixed shape from the box — tight and level over a counter, loose and cascading down a stairwell, from the same fixture.

What the Light Is Like
Focused Downlight, Not Ambient Glow
Each tube is open at the bottom with the LED aimed straight down, and there is no diffuser. That gives you a defined pool of light under every tube and very little spill sideways, which is unusual on a decorative cluster and genuinely useful over a table or a counter.
The trade-off is that the fixture does not fill the room with light. It lights the surface below it beautifully and leaves the rest of the room to other fittings, so plan accordingly.
It also means the tubes stay dark and sculptural when lit, rather than glowing. What you see is the pattern of light on the table, not a set of bright objects overhead.

Black or White
Matte black reads as a graphic sketch against a pale ceiling — the tubes stay visible and the cluster is the feature.
Matte white all but disappears into a white ceiling, so what you notice is the light itself and the wires. The quieter choice in a minimal room.
Both are baked matte, so neither picks up reflections or fingerprints the way a gloss or polished finish does.
Placement and Installation
Plan the Heights Before the Electrician Leaves
Hang the lowest tube 30 to 36″ above a table or counter, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway.
Centre the cluster on the table, not on the room.
Each wire is adjustable up to 3000 mm (118″), so set the heights with the furniture in place and step back between adjustments. A staggered cluster looks composed or accidental depending on a few inches, and it is far easier to get right while the ladder is still up.
Over a stairwell, run the tubes down in a long cascade. Over a counter, keep them closer together and shallower.

Care
Dry Cloth, and Mind the Open Tube Ends
Wipe the tubes with a soft dry cloth. A baked matte finish hides fingerprints well, but it also shows scratches permanently, so avoid abrasive pads and cleaning sprays.
Dust settles inside the open bottom of each tube, and because the LED sits behind it, dust there dims the light directly. A quick puff of air or a soft brush now and then is enough.
Support a tube from below when you clean it rather than pushing sideways, since each one hangs on its own wire.
Let the tubes cool before touching them. Over a kitchen counter, airborne grease settles on aluminium and dulls a matte finish, so wipe them down regularly.
