Before You Order
Use an LED G9 Bulb, Never a Halogen One
This takes a G9 bulb, the small two-pin type that pushes in rather than screwing. G9 is still widely sold as halogen, and halogen G9 bulbs run extremely hot — hot enough to burn a finger instantly.
The shade and figure here are 3D-printed resin sitting close to that bulb. Printed resin yellows and can soften and distort along its print layers, losing exactly the fine detail that makes the piece worth having.
Fit an LED G9 only. They cost the same, run cool, and last far longer. Contact us to confirm the maximum wattage.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
This fixture is IP20, which means dry indoor locations only. It has no moisture protection.
Do not install it in a bathroom, directly above a sink, on a covered porch, or anywhere outdoors. A child’s bedroom or playroom is what it is built for.
Check the Drop Before You Buy
The cable is 59″ long, which is nearly five feet. On a standard 8 ft ceiling that would leave the lamp hanging at around chest height.
The drop is shortened at installation, so tell your electrician the height you want before they start. In a child’s room, hang it clear of the head of the bed and well out of reach from a bed, a bunk, or any furniture a child might climb.
Hardwired Installation
This is a hardwired ceiling fixture, not a plug-in lamp. It should be installed by a licensed electrician, fixed into a joist or a properly rated ceiling box rather than plasterboard alone.

The shade is 5.9″ across on both, and the 59″ figure is the full cable length, not the size of the lamp. At this size it is an accent light, so plan on a main ceiling light or lamps as well if the room needs to be bright for playing and reading.
Bulbs
LED G9, Not Included
Warm white at 2700–3000K is the right choice for a child’s bedroom. It is calmer in the evening and much kinder at bedtime than cool white, which is stimulating and makes a room feel clinical.
Choose a low output. This is meant to glow gently, and an over-bright bulb inside a small translucent shade loses the effect entirely.
G9 bulbs are small, so keep a spare. They are less commonly stocked in supermarkets than screw-base bulbs.

Care
Keep White Resin Out of the Sun
Dust with a dry soft cloth or a soft brush, working gently around the printed figure so the fine detail is not knocked.
Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which haze printed resin permanently. A barely damp cloth, dried straight away, is enough.
Strong direct sunlight yellows white resin over time, so avoid hanging it right in front of a large sunny window.
Let the bulb cool fully before handling it, and never touch the glass of a G9 bulb with bare fingers when fitting it.
