Overview
A wide, shallow shade draped by hand over a press mould.
Because the material is laid over the mould rather than cast in it, the edge falls into soft irregular folds. The shape looks familiar and slightly strange at the same time, which is where the name comes from.
It is only 3.9″ deep but 16.5″ across, so it covers a good span without hanging into the room.
Three colours: beige, green, or orange.
Before You Order
Fit an LED Bulb, Nothing Else
The shade is resin. Never fit an incandescent, halogen, or Edison filament bulb. Resin yellows with sustained heat and can soften, and a 40W filament bulb in a shallow shade sits close to the material.
The 40W maximum is a limit, not a target. A 40W-equivalent LED draws only about 5W and runs cool, so you get the same brightness with none of the heat. If you want a visible filament, use an LED filament bulb.
It Does Not Dim
This fixture is not dimmable. Wiring it to a dimmer switch will cause flicker and buzzing and can shorten its life. Put it on a normal switch.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
IP20, for dry indoor locations. Not for bathrooms, not directly above a sink or hob, and not for covered porches or anywhere outdoors.

Choosing a Colour
One Quiet, Two Bold
Beige is the safe one. It sits with white walls, oak, and linen, and reads as a sculptural shape rather than a colour statement.
Green works against timber and plants, and in a room with darker or earthier walls.
Orange is the boldest, and it warms the light noticeably as well as the room. Best where it is the one strong colour in an otherwise neutral space.

At 8.8 lbs (4 kg) this is heavier than it looks, so the ceiling box needs to be rated for it and anchored into structure.
Over a dining table, hang the bottom of the shade 30 to 36″ above the surface. In a walkway, keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom underneath.

About the Finish
Each One Is Slightly Different
Because the shades are draped rather than cast, the fall of the edge and the depth of the folds vary from piece to piece. Yours will not match the photographs exactly.
Dust with a dry soft cloth, or a barely damp one followed by drying. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, and keep the shade out of strong direct sunlight, which fades and yellows resin over time.
