Is the alabaster real stone, and will it scratch or cloud over time?
Yes, it's hand-carved alabaster. Each ball shows natural grain and color shifts. Alabaster is soft and will show marks with hard contact. Light dusting is fine; avoid rubbing with abrasive cloth.
How many bulbs does each ball hold, and what type?

Can I hang a 7- or 9-ball cascade in a standard 8-foot ceiling room?
No. V5 (7 balls) needs 98.4 inches, and V6 (9 balls) needs 118 inches. A standard ceiling gives you roughly 96 inches floor to ceiling. V1, V2, or V3 are your options for normal rooms.
Why does the alabaster look different in some photos—lighter or more amber in spots?
Alabaster is a natural material with veining, grain, and color variation from stone to stone. How much each area is backlit also changes how it looks. This is normal and part of the material's character.
