Overview

Curved raffia blades fanning out around a frosted glass globe.

The glass does the lighting, throwing a soft warm glow downward. The raffia does the character, catching that light along each blade so the whole disc seems to hover.

It is a shallow shape at 6.3″ deep, which is why it works in rooms where a tall pendant would feel heavy.

Two diameters, with brass detailing and a single natural brown and white colourway.

Before You Order

Use LED G9 Bulbs Only

The socket takes a G9 capsule bulb, which is also sold in halogen. Do not fit halogen in this fixture. Halogen G9 bulbs run extremely hot, and raffia is a dry natural fibre sitting close to the lamp.

G9 LED bulbs are widely available, run cool, and are the only type we recommend here.

Dry Indoor Rooms Only

IP20 means no moisture protection at all. Not for bathrooms, covered porches, or anywhere outdoors. Damp also makes raffia soften and lose its shape.

Features

Natural Raffia Blades

Hand-laid fibre that catches light along each curve, so the disc reads as texture rather than a flat shade.

Frosted Glass Globe

Diffuses the bulb into a soft warm glow with no visible hot spot.

Shallow Profile

Only 6.3″ deep, so it adds presence without eating headroom.

Sizes

Diameter	Depth	Suits
⌀15.7″	H6.3″	A bedroom, an entryway, a reading corner, or a pair over an island
⌀19.7″	H6.3″	A dining table, a lounge, or a single statement over a console

Over a dining table, a round shade looks right at roughly half the table width, hung 30–36″ above the tabletop. Because it is shallow, it also suits a standard 8 ft ceiling.

How It Lights a Room

Warm and Atmospheric

Light comes mainly from the frosted globe at the centre and falls downward, while the raffia glows warmly at the edges rather than passing much light through.

The result is calm and flattering over a table or a bed. Pair it with lamps or downlights if you need a room lit brightly all over.

About the Raffia

Every Shade Is Slightly Different

Raffia is a natural palm fibre, so colour and grain vary between pieces and the tone deepens gently over the years.

Dust with a dry soft brush or a low-suction vacuum. Never use water or cleaning products on the fibre, and keep the fixture out of direct sunlight, which bleaches raffia noticeably.

Even better in person, arrived intact

Lamp is cool — looks better in person than in the photo. It arrived in a small, lightweight box that made it look like it had been kicked around by the mail carrier, but the light remained intact.

Sturdy packaging and beautiful, well-made lamp

The outer packaging is sturdy and the inner foam holds everything securely without shaking. The lamp's appearance is simple and atmospheric, and overall beautiful. The lamp body material shows excellent workmanship—no burrs and it feels great.
