No — the 5W warm-white LED is integrated directly into the lamp stem and is not user-replaceable. This is intentional: the lamp is calibrated so that 5W through the silk globe produces the right level of soft ambient glow. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours — at 4 hours per day, that is well over a decade of use.

For ambient and mood lighting, yes. The silk globe is highly translucent, and 5W produces a warm, softly glowing sphere suited to a bedside table, sideboard, or reading corner. It is not designed as a primary room light — if you need task or general room illumination, pair this with a brighter ceiling or floor source.

The lamp has an on/off button switch on the base — it is not dimmable as supplied. For variable brightness, plug it into a smart plug with dimming capability (such as a Kasa or Wemo smart dimmer plug). This gives you remote and stepless brightness control without modifying the lamp.

Dark Walnut is the warmest and most traditional — it pairs well with dark wood furniture, leather, and earthy interiors. Light Wood is the most versatile, working across natural, Japandi, and Scandi rooms. Matte Black gives the tripod silhouette its most graphic quality — it contrasts cleanly against light surfaces and suits minimalist, industrial, and contemporary spaces. The silk shade is identical across all three.

This lamp works best as a standalone accent or bedside piece — somewhere it can be appreciated as a sculptural object when off and a warm glowing sphere when on.
