Jute is a natural plant fiber — coarser and more textured than cotton, with a warm golden-brown tone that comes from the plant itself. It is one of the most sustainable natural fibers available. In normal indoor conditions, jute is durable and holds its shape well. Over time it may soften very slightly in tone, which most people find adds to the character of the piece.
