The halogen bulb inside generates enough warmth to gently melt the surface of a candle placed beneath it, releasing fragrance continuously without a flame. How to Use as a Candle Warmer 1 Install a GU10 halogen bulb (35–50W, sold separately) LED bulbs will not work. A halogen GU10 is required to generate the warmth needed to melt wax. 2 Place a wax melt or candle in a suitable vessel beneath the shade A low, wide vessel (wax melt dish or flat candle) works best. The shade should be positioned 2–4 cm above the wax surface. 3 Switch on — wax will begin to soften and release fragrance within minutes The halogen bulb gently melts the top surface of the wax as it warms the air beneath the shade.
