A perforated metal shade under a raw cement cap.

Light passes through the mesh grid in every direction, so the shade throws a patterned glow onto the surrounding walls as well as lighting the surface below.

The 9-head cluster drops 118″, which is more than most homes can take. Measure your ceiling before choosing it.

Check the Headroom

Where people walk underneath, keep at least 7 ft (84″) between the floor and the lowest head. For example, the 3-head cluster (59″) on an 8 ft ceiling leaves only about 37″ — fine over a table, not over a walkway. Add the fixture height to 84″ to find the minimum ceiling for a walk-through space. Over a table or island, set the lowest head 30 to 36″ above the surface.

Installation

One Box or Several

The multi-head versions arrive pre-wired, so every head hangs from a single ceiling box.

Single pendants each need their own junction box and wiring, which is worth planning before you order a row of them.

Cement Adds Weight

Every head has a cement cap, so the 5, 7 and 9-head clusters are heavy. Have a licensed electrician fix the canopy to a joist or brace rated for the load.
