The glass diffuses the bulb behind it into a calm, even sphere of warm light: no hotspot, no glare, no visible filament. The wood is finished in a clear water-based varnish that keeps the natural grain open and visible, so the disk reads as a piece of wood rather than a painted object. Sized at 25 cm overall with an 18 cm globe and a 14 cm projection from the wall, the Brevin works at scale beside a bed, beside a hallway mirror, on a stair landing, or as a paired set down a passage.
