A wide shallow dome with a hammered, faceted surface. Because no two facets face the same direction, the shade catches daylight at a hundred different angles and never reads as one flat colour, and it keeps changing as you move around the room.
Inside, the metallic finish does the working half. It reflects warm light down and outward, so you get a generous pool on the table rather than a narrow spot, and the inner surface itself glows softly instead of going dark.

Before You Order
The Shade Is Moulded Polyethylene, Not Metal
We would rather you knew this before it arrives. The hammered dome is high-density polyethylene with a textured metallic finish, on a metal canopy and hardware.
The practical upside is real: a 31.5″ dome in metal would be a two-person installation and a serious load on the ceiling, whereas this one is light enough to handle alone and will not dent if it knocks a doorframe on the way in. It also will not corrode or mark.
It is a moulded surface rather than hand-beaten metal, and it sounds like plastic if you tap it. At arm’s length and lit, it reads as hammered metal.
LED Bulbs Only in Practice
The shade is a polymer, and heat is what ages it — a hot bulb inside a shallow dome can discolour the finish and, over time, soften the shape.
The spec allows up to 60W incandescent, but we strongly recommend the 9W LED and nothing hotter. It gives the same light for a fraction of the heat.

Placement
Over a dining table, choose a dome roughly half to two thirds the width of the table, and centre it on the table rather than on the room.
Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above a surface, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway. Group several 24 to 30″ apart.
S and M are only 9.8″ deep, so almost all of your drop is cable and they sit easily under a standard 8 ft ceiling. The 59″ cable is adjustable, and can be extended on request — email us your ceiling height.
A wide shallow dome shows a tilt against the ceiling line. Ask your electrician to check it with a spirit level before the final tighten.
Choosing a Finish
Bright Silver or Bright Black
Bright Silver is the brighter of the two in every sense. The hammered facets sparkle in daylight and the fixture reads light and reflective, picking up the colours of the room around it.
Bright Black reads as a graphic silhouette by day, with the hammering showing only as fine highlights along the facets. Lit, the contrast between the dark outside and the glowing interior is the whole effect — the more dramatic choice.
Both keep the warm metallic interior, so the quality of the light below is the same either way.
Bulbs and Light
Use 2700K Warm White
Our recommendation is a 9W LED Warm White 2700K, A19 or G25 globe shape, sold separately. The metallic interior amplifies 2700K warmth, and cooler temperatures wash it out — a cool white bulb in this fixture makes the metallic finish look grey.
A frosted bulb is the right choice rather than a clear or filament one. The dome is open underneath, so a bare filament is visible and glaring from a seated position.
Buying two or three? Buy all the bulbs at once and identical. Mismatched colour temperature in a row of pendants is obvious and cannot be fixed later.
The fixture is dimmable with a compatible dimmable LED bulb and a matching dimmer. Check that both say dimmable, or you will get flicker or buzz.

Installation and Care
Check the Junction Box Rating First
Hardwired installation — a licensed electrician is recommended. Confirm the junction box rating before you start: 30 lbs or more for S and M, 50 lbs or more for L.
Older homes often have a light-duty box that does not meet this, and it may need upgrading to a fan-rated box. Worth checking before the fixture arrives rather than on the day.

Soft Dry Cloth Only
Dust the dome with a soft dry cloth or a duster. A hammered surface holds dust in every facet, so a soft brush works better than a cloth on the texture.
No glass cleaner, no ammonia, no alcohol, and no abrasive pads or paper towel. Solvents attack a polymer finish, and paper towel leaves fine scratches that show badly on a bright metallic surface.
The inside of the dome is the part that affects the light — dust on the reflective interior directly dims the room. Include it when you change the bulb.
Let the bulb cool before cleaning, and never wet the fitting itself.
