Overview

Thin metal arches, 2 to 8 pendant heads.

A linear pendant built from intersecting powder-coated metal arches, each ending in a cylindrical aluminium spot head with an acrylic lens. Sizes from 25″ to 79″ long, ideal for kitchen islands, dining tables, and living rooms.

This is a different kind of fixture from a linear bar with shades hanging off it. The arches cross overhead and draw a geometric line on the ceiling, while each head throws a focused cone straight down. You get real task light on the surface below and a graphic structure above it, rather than one soft glow doing both jobs badly.

Good to Know

Free shipping to all 50 US states. Runs on standard household power (110–240V), hardwired to your ceiling box by an electrician, and meets US electrical standards.

It Dims, With the Right Bulb and Switch

The fixture supports TRIAC dimming. You need a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch, both bought separately.

Worth doing on this one. Focused spot heads at full output are right for cooking and prep, and too much over dinner.

Buy LED GU10 Bulbs, Not Halogen

GU10 is the small push-and-twist spotlight base, and it is still widely sold as halogen. Halogen GU10 bulbs run extremely hot, and each head here is a small aluminium cylinder with an acrylic lens right in front of the bulb. Sustained heat yellows and clouds acrylic, which dims the light permanently.

Fit LED GU10 bulbs only, up to 7W per head. Buy them all at once and identical, because a row of spot heads shows a mismatched bulb immediately.

Check the Beam Angle When You Buy Bulbs

GU10 bulbs are sold in different beam angles, and this changes the fixture completely.

A narrow 24° beam gives tight, dramatic pools of light with dark gaps between them. A wide 60° beam overlaps into a continuous even wash.

Over a kitchen island where you actually work, choose wide. Over a dining table or a bar where you want atmosphere, narrow looks far better. Same fixture, completely different room.

You Need a Clear Straight Run of Ceiling

This mounts on a rectangular canopy plate that needs a straight, unobstructed strip of ceiling along its full length. Check for beams, sloping sections, air vents, and smoke alarms before ordering, particularly on the longer sizes.

Confirm the weight with us first, and fix into joists or a rated ceiling box rather than plasterboard alone.

Dry Indoor Rooms Only

Indoor use only. Not for bathrooms, not directly above a hob, and not for covered porches or anywhere outdoors.

Highlights

Crossing Arches

Thin powder-coated arches in gold or black intersect overhead, each pair forming a geometric portal of support.

Cylindrical Spot Heads

Aluminium cylinders with acrylic lenses, directing light downward in a focused cone.

Seven Sizes

Two to eight heads, from 25″ to 79″ long, in black or gold and black.

Choosing a Size

Heads Dimensions Suits a surface of
2 L24.8″ × H15.7″ About 3 to 4 ft — a small table or a breakfast bar
3 L30.3″ × H20.5″ About 4 to 5 ft — a table for four
4 L41.3″ × H15.7″ About 5 to 7 ft — a table for six or a standard island
5 L48.1″ × H20.5″ About 6 to 8 ft
5 L58.7″ × H20.5″ About 7.5 to 10 ft, with the heads spaced further apart
6 L58.7″ × H20.5″ About 7.5 to 10 ft, with tighter spacing and more even light
8 L78.7″ × H20.5″ About 10 to 13 ft — a long island or a large dining table

A linear fixture should run roughly half to two thirds the length of the surface below it. Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above a tabletop, keep 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway, and centre it on the table rather than on the room.

Two Versions at the Same Length

58.7″ With Five Heads or Six

Both are the same length, so the choice is about spacing rather than size. Five heads sit further apart, giving distinct pools of light and a more open, airy structure. Six heads sit closer together for a more even wash and a denser, more architectural look.

Choose five for a dining table where atmosphere matters, and six for an island you work at.

Choosing a Finish

Black, or Gold and Black

Black makes the whole thing a single drawn line. The arches read as pure geometry against a pale ceiling, and the fixture disappears against a dark one. The most restrained and the most architectural.

Gold and Black catches the light along the arches, so the crossing structure is picked out and reads as the decorative element it is. Warmer, and the better match for brass taps, timber, or a transitional kitchen.

Remember that thin arches are very visible when the fixture is switched off, which is most of the day. Choose the finish for how it draws on your ceiling, not just how it looks lit.

Made to Your Room

We Build Custom Versions of This

Email service@yyjlxlighting.com with your space and roughly what you have in mind. Ceiling height plus a photo of the room is enough.

We can change the drop length, cable length, canopy size, light count, sloped-ceiling canopy, and dimming. We come back with a drop and cable lengths worked out for that ceiling, then the cables are cut to length, wired, and shipped ready to hang.

FAQ

What is the Arcs made of?

Thin powder-coated metal arches, aluminium spot heads, and acrylic lenses. The arches cross overhead in pairs; each head is a cylinder that holds a GU10 bulb.

Can I dim this pendant?

Yes. The fixture supports TRIAC dimming when paired with a compatible dimmable LED bulb (sold separately) and a dimmer switch.

Can I change the drop length or add more cord?

Yes. Cord and drop length are made to order. Contact service@yyjlxlighting.com with your ceiling height and preferred hanging depth.

Will this work on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?

Yes. We can provide a custom canopy to accommodate angled ceilings. Contact service@yyjlxlighting.com with your ceiling angle or photos.

Does this work in the US and ship free?

Yes. The Arcs runs on standard US 110–240V household power and ships free to all 50 states. An electrician will hardwire it to your ceiling box.

Care

Never Use Glass Spray on the Lenses

The lenses are acrylic, not glass. Ammonia and alcohol-based glass cleaners craze acrylic into fine cracks permanently. Use a soft cloth with a little mild soapy water, then dry it.

Over a kitchen island, airborne cooking grease settles on the lenses as an invisible film and dims the light long before anyone notices. Wipe them every few weeks.

Thin arches show dust along their upper edge in a way a solid shade does not. Run a soft cloth along the top of each arch when you clean, and let the bulbs cool first.
