Good to Know
A Good Choice for a Lower Ceiling
Most fixtures this wide are also deep, which makes them awkward under a standard 8 ft ceiling. At only 3.1 to 3.5″ deep, almost all of your drop is cable rather than fixture, so you can hang it at a comfortable height over a table without it feeling like it is in the room with you.
No Bulbs to Buy
The LED is integrated, so there is nothing to source and nothing to replace when a bulb blows. It is also what allows the fixture to be this shallow, since there is no bulb depth to accommodate.
The trade-off is that the light source is built in, so the warm colour is permanent. Over a dining table that is the right choice anyway.
Get It Level
A wide flat disc shows a tilt more than almost any other shape, because the eye reads its edge against the ceiling line. Use a spirit level during installation rather than judging by eye.
Confirm the weight with us before installing, and fix it into a joist or a rated ceiling box rather than plasterboard alone.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
IP20, for dry indoor locations. This uses fabric and solid timber, both of which mark, warp, and grow mould in a damp room.

As a rule, a round pendant should be about half to two thirds the width of the table below it. Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above the tabletop, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway.
Choosing a Finish
All Three Have a White Diffuser
Wood Colour is the palest and warmest, and sits quietly in a bright room with oak or pale floors. The most Scandinavian of the three.
Walnut Colour is deeper and browner, and gives the richest contrast against a white ceiling. The natural fit for mid-century furniture.
Black turns the disc into a graphic ring around the light. The strongest and most architectural, and the one that holds its shape in a busy room.
Worth remembering that a wide disc at eye level over a table is very visible when it is switched off, which is most of the day. Choose the finish for how it looks unlit as much as lit.

Care
Brush the Fabric, Dry Cloth on the Timber
Dust the fabric diffuser with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction with a brush head. Do not use a damp cloth — water marks pale fabric and the marks do not come out.
Wipe the timber with a soft dry cloth along the grain. No polish and no solvents.
The top of a wide flat disc collects dust where nobody ever looks, and on a pale diffuser it eventually greys the light. Dust the top surface as well as the underside a few times a year.
