Overview
The Aperture lampshade is designed with honeycomb iron art, which adds a romantic and dreamy atmosphere to the space.
The lamp body accessories are also more simple in design, giving this space a simple beauty that touches people’s hearts.
The honeycomb structure is doing the work. Light passes through the open cells and is broken up on the way out, so instead of one flat glow you get a scatter of small bright points and a pattern of hexagonal shadows across the ceiling and walls around it.

Before You Order
Buyers in the US and Canada: Check the Bulb Base
This takes an E14 bulb, the small European screw size. It is not the same as the E12 candelabra base sold in most North American shops, and an E12 bulb will not screw in.
Source E14 bulbs online before the fixture arrives, or contact us first so we can confirm what you will need.
This Is Mood Lighting, Not a Room Light
The maximum is 15W, which is a modest output for a fixture 15.7″ across. The honeycomb also holds a lot of the light back by design.
It is made to create atmosphere and cast patterns, not to light a room for reading or cooking. Plan on other lighting in the same room, and enjoy this one for what it does well.
11 lbs — Fix It Properly
At 11 lbs this is heavier than it looks, because the honeycomb is iron. The ceiling fixing must go into a joist or a properly rated ceiling box, never plasterboard alone.
Plan on two people: one to hold the weight while the other makes the connection.
It Does Not Dim
This fixture is not dimmable. Wiring it to a dimmer will cause flicker and buzzing and can shorten its life. Put it on a normal switch.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
IP20, for dry indoor locations. Not for bathrooms, not directly above a sink or hob, and not for covered porches or anywhere outdoors.
Features
Honeycomb Ironwork
An open hexagonal structure that breaks the light into points rather than a flat wash.
Patterned Shadows
The real effect is on the surfaces around it — hexagonal shadows across the ceiling and walls.
Blown Glass and Gold
Hand-blown translucent glass inside a polished, plated gold frame.
Size and Placement
15.7″ Wide, 11″ Deep
This suits a dining table for four, a bedroom, an entry, or a living room corner.
Hang the bottom 30 to 36″ above a tabletop, and keep at least 7 ft of clear headroom in any walkway.
Give it a dark surface to work against. The patterned shadows are the point, and in a bright white room with plenty of other lighting on, they barely register. Over a table in the evening, or against a darker ceiling or wall, is where this fixture earns its keep.
Bulbs
E14 LED, Not Included
Use a cool-running LED rather than an incandescent or filament bulb. The glass and the iron frame sit close together and trap heat, and 15W is a limit rather than a target.
Warm white at 2700–3000K suits the gold frame and the romantic effect the design is after. Cool white makes plated gold look brassy and green.
Contact us to confirm how many bulbs this fixture takes before you order, so you buy the right number and can get them all matching.

Care
Dust Collects in the Honeycomb
An open cellular structure catches dust in every cell, and it shows as soon as the light is on. Use a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction with a brush head rather than a cloth, which only pushes dust deeper into the cells.
Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a little mild soapy water, then dry it. Because it is hand-blown, slight variations in thickness and tone are normal rather than faults.
Keep metal polish away from the gold frame — plating is a thin layer and polish wears straight through it.
