FAQ
Are the shells breakable if I accidentally hit them?
Yes. Alabaster is a soft natural stone. Each shell is mounted individually, so a direct hit can crack or dislodge one. It's not a fixture for rooms with ceiling fans or low clearance traffic.
What color are the shells really—are they white or cream?
Off-white to pale cream, with natural striations and slight color variation from shell to shell. They're not pure white. Under warm light they read more ivory; under cool light more pale beige.
How many bulbs does each size take and can I use LEDs?
V1 takes 6 bulbs. V2 and V3 take 15 bulbs. V4 and V5 take 21 bulbs. V6 takes 30 bulbs. All use E14 sockets. Any E14 LED or incandescent bulb works—wattage is up to you and your room's electrical setup.
Is the brass shiny or matte?
Polished brass. It will oxidize and darken over years of natural aging. If you want to slow that, you can wax or lacquer it—but most people let it patina naturally.
