Overview
A continuous bar of natural alabaster, lit from within along its whole length.
Most linear pendants light a table from a metal housing. This one is the light: cylinders of real stone joined by slim brass collars, glowing end to end as a single bar of veined mineral light.
It hangs level on twin cables from a linear brass canopy, so the beam floats parallel to the table below it.
Four lengths, from 39.4″ to 63″, for kitchen islands, dining tables, and boardroom tables.
Before You Order
You Will Need to Shorten the Cables
The pendant ships with a 59.1″ drop, which is far longer than a dining table needs. Hung at full length from an 8 ft ceiling, the beam would sit only a few inches above the tabletop.
Over a table you normally want the bottom of the fixture 30 to 36″ above the surface. From an 8 ft ceiling that means a drop of roughly 30 to 36″, so about half the supplied cable. The cables are adjustable, and we will cut them to your ceiling height before shipping if you tell us what it is.
Two People and a Structural Fixing
This is a solid stone tube up to 63″ long. It needs two people to handle safely during installation, and the linear canopy must be anchored into ceiling structure, not plasterboard.
Hardwired installation by a licensed electrician is strongly recommended. Contact us for the weight of the length you are considering so your electrician can check the fixing.
Dry Indoor Rooms Only
Alabaster is porous and water marks it permanently. Not for bathrooms, covered porches, or anywhere outdoors.

The usual rule for a linear pendant is to choose one between half and two thirds the length of the table. Too short and it looks lost; running the full length of the table looks crowded.

About the Stone
Every Beam Is Different
Each cylinder is carved from natural alabaster, and veining and tone vary from piece to piece. Along a single beam, every segment carries its own pattern, which is what stops it looking like an extruded plastic tube.
Your pendant will not match the photographs exactly. That variation is the character of genuine stone rather than a defect.
Alabaster is soft and marks with hard contact. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and never use an abrasive cloth or any household cleaner.
Servicing
No Bulbs to Change
The LED is built in, so there is nothing to replace in normal use. Replacement modules are available from us if one is ever needed, so a failed LED does not mean a new fixture.
