What is the frosted band made of?

Solid alabaster, a natural stone that diffuses warm light evenly across its surface. The light sits inside the band, so you see a glowing ring rather than bulbs or sockets.

Which size works over a dining table?

The 23.6″ ring suits a standard 4–6 person table, and the 31.5″ suits a larger 6–8 person table. At just 3.1″ tall, the ring stays well clear of sightlines in a normal room.

What’s the difference between brass and black?

Only the hardware. Brass gives the wires and mounting a warm metallic finish; black is matte. The alabaster band and the light it gives off are identical.

Do I need a dimmer for the dimmable version?

Yes. The dimmable version is triac dimmable and needs a compatible wall dimmer. The standard version runs at full warm light only.

Will my ring look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. Alabaster is a natural stone, so veining and translucency vary from piece to piece. That variation is part of working with real stone.
